Well, most of you know that I’m just as equally passionate about painting furniture and making crafts as I am taking pictures.

I love doing anything artsy, although I wish I could paint as in a drawing.  I just have never tried to do it, so I think that I can’t LOL.  One thing that I am good at is painting furniture and things like that.  I actually love it!  Especially the painting part and then adding a glaze or gel.  So much fun!

Well, I have to share with ya’ll about a new company that carries awesome Paint Powder that can be mixed with any latex paint to make it that “chalky” look.  You then can add glazes, wax or gels, depending on the look you are going for.

It’s called Chalky & Company and I just signed up as a consultant.  They are brand new and have a different concept – you do workshops and learn how to paint.  I was thinking about painting wood frames and then you can put one of your prints from a session on it.  I’ll be scheduling some workshops in October so stay tuned.

For now, feel free to look at their Look Book.  They are so brand new, that I am #245 Consultant.  This looks like a really cool company and the owners are husband and wife, Dan and Buffy Dumont.

If you think you might want to do a workshop or if the business side of it sounds interesting to you, email me at info@wwalkerphotography.com and I’ll send you more information.

Until next time……..

Oh, PS – I’m now booking for Fall and Christmas Photo Sessions.  Stay tuned for my upcoming specials too!!!

It’s Bittersweet!!!

Well, the day has finally come…..

Where oh where has the past 12 years gone?  I have one that’s graduating this year!!  I’m so used to taking photos of everyone else’s kids and it was really hard to do my own daughter!  Have you been there?

I’m so proud of my baby girl!  She has graduated with a 3.76 GPA and is already signed up to at Lake Sumter State College and will be starting in the summer to get her BS in Business Administration.  She will then go on to Stetson University to finish with a degree in Family Enterprise.  She wants to get her Contractor’s License and take over our family business one day!  I guess Bill and I better get ready LOL.

Kelsey isn’t the type to be in the limelight, so it’s been like pulling teeth just to get her pictures done LOL.  Nothing like waiting ’til the last minute, right?  Once we got going though, I could tell she was getting into it!

Her dad and I are so proud of her accomplishments.  She plays drums for youth at church.  She served as the President of her 4H club for two years in a row and finished out her Senior year as the Treasurer of the club.  She is also very active in the community.  From serving soup for Lake Cares Food Pantry to volunteering at Camp Boggy Creek.  She has been very active for the past four years and always has a willing hand to lend.  You can read more bragging about her HERE!

Share your Senior pics in the comments below or on my Facebook Page!

Here’s to all the 2015 High School Graduates!!!

Going to the Chapel…..

I’ve been swamped the past two weekends!  Can you believe I have had two, yes you heard me, TWO nieces get married within one week of each other.  And, on top of my regular sessions, I have hardly had time to go pee LOL.  I love every minute of it though! 🙂

I had the honor of photographing both of their weddings.  I got all giddy when they both asked me and of course I said, “Absolutely”.  It’s kind of hard when you know the family as you don’t get to participate in a lot of the festivities because you have to actually work while everyone else is having a good time.  Well, I made sure I had a good time at both of these weddings.  I even got out on the dance floor at my oldest niece’s wedding, which was on Halloween!  More about that one in another post, but for now…..

I loved everything about this wedding!  My niece, Catie, had everything all coordinated and planned months prior to the wedding.  Well, let me first tell you, she married the pastor’s daughter, so she kinda had some help from the congregation LOL.

The wedding and the reception were at the church, which made it really simple for pictures.  I had found a beautiful Sycamore tree out front and I knew it would be the perfect spot to do some of the outside shots.  I even brought my old church pew that I have in my house for everyone to sit on.  I love it!

The table centerpieces were super cute!  Cut tree trunks were used as the base and then a mason jar with daisies, a tea lite candle and a simple burlap flower.  I love how less is more!

The cake!  Wow, it was beautiful too!  I loved the groom’s cake for sure!  Who doesn’t like cookies and milk?  They had oreo cookies layered in the shape of a cake and served milk in little shot glasses!  The bride’s cake was so sweet and simple.  Traditional with butter-cream frosting and burlap bands with simple flowers on the top.  LOVE!

The day could not have been complete without the hay bale couches!  These were layered with old family quilts that gave these the perfect touch!

Now, on to processing their photos.  I’m so blessed to see the woman that my niece has become and so excited to have her new hubby as a part of our family.  They already purchased a home and can’t wait to have a family cook-out when they get it all fixed up!  So proud of them!!!!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kyle Clements!!!

FALL is Finally Here!

Do you know what day it is?  I’ve been waiting on this day all year!  Seroiusly, I have!

This, pretty much sums it all up for me!  Don’t you just love the colors of FALL too?  I live in Florida, so the only thing I am missing is my cooler weather and the changing of the leaves!

I’m excited this year about my mini-sessions!  I have been given the opportunity to hold them at Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm.  They started A Lot of Pumpkins the whole month of October and they are allowing me to photograph my mini-sessions there.  Super excited!

Blogging through the Bible

I started a new reading plan this month on my other site – Little House Simple Living

I’d like to invite you to join me as I blog through the bible.  What exactly does that mean?

Well, I read my bible daily or at least 6-7 days a week.  I often struggle on what exactly to read.  I usually just go back and forth between Proverbs or pretty much all the books in the New Testament.  I am joining Courtney Joseph over at Women Living Well as we go through the bible, one day at a time, one chapter at a time and in an entire year!

There’s nothing to sign up for really.  Just go to my blog post that I made today and you can  print out the reading list.  Sign up for my blog and then you will get my Friday posts on the re-cap from the weekly reading.  Sounds pretty easy and we will hold each other accountable.  Share with your friends and family too!

You can sign up for my blog here.

Be Blessed!

Fall is my favorite time of year!  This year, I’ve been given an opportunity to hold my fall sessions at a farm in Eustis.  Maybe you’ve heard about it?  It’s Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm off Huff Road in Eustis.

Fall Mini 2014

This is a Limited Edition session, which means there is only one date, September 27th.  The times are 12:30-7:30pm and I will allow each session 30 minutes.  Please email me at info@wwalkerphotography.com to schedule your appointment and state what time you would like. A $50 deposit will reserve your time slot.  I will send you an invoice through Paypal.  Once that is paid, I will then write down your time that you requested.  My Payment Plan is available.  Please email me for more details.  The remaining balance will be due the day of the event or you can pay it off earlier, whichever you prefer.

Be sure and come dressed in fall colors.  Costumes are welcome if you want your little ones in them!

I’m so excited about this location.  Make sure you plan to visit them again in October when they open for their A Lot of Pumpkins event.   You can pick out your pumpkin and carve it at the carving station! Also, make sure you visit the petting zoo, magical maze, hayrides and more!

See you at the farm!!!!!

I know it’s only July, but cooler weather will be here before we know it!  At least I’m believing it! LOL

I’m super excited about this mini-session as it’s brand new this year!!!  The location will be Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest in Eustis.  It’s out in the country and it’s a beautiful farm!!!  You can also come back and either chop down your tree (how cool is that?) or buy one of their North Carolina Frasier Firs (my favorite!).
Christmas 2014

To reserve your appointment, please email me at wendy@wwalkerphotography.comand give me the following information:

How many?
Paypal Email

I will then send you an invoice on paypal for the deposit of $50.  This will hold your day.  Times will be given as we get closer.  The remaining balance will be due two weeks prior to your scheduled day.  This makes it super easy, so we don’t have to deal with this part of it on the actual day of your session.  If you do not have paypal, please note that and I will send you my address so you can mail me a check.

That’s all there is to it!  I’m so excited about this session!  Wait until you see the props I am bringing!!!!
